Blast from the past

Just found a calendar from 1999-2000 school year. Are we really that old? I guess so. Some selections:

General:
1) All my high school varsity bowling matches are listed here. We had about 2 to 3 a week and the season lasted for 3 weeks lol. Apparently I also had the Midwood Girls schedule on here denoted as MG in a circle.
2) Apparently I had a stamp that said "PROPERTY OF Brian Levine aka Shy Guy"
3) There is a note in June 2000 by jenn to download the song "Porcelain" by Moby
4) Also June was filled with finals, going to the dentist with jenn, bowling, ilana's graduation, and soup kitchen, lol

Specific
Oct 9th - SAT 2 Spanish at Madison...I think I went with Jenn and we went to Dunkin Donuts first on Kings Highway.
Oct 29th - Yankee Parade!...back when they won
Nov 30th - Midwood Girls bowling finals
Dec 3rd - Stacey's Bday Party...I don't know a Stacey whose birthday is in December
Dec 4th - Hanukkah party...yeah we had them back then
Jan 7th and 14th - Prima Pasta and my house
Jan 29th - Footloose. Jenn did you come or were you sick lol
March, every Friday - Prima Pasta or Roll n Roaster
May 12th - Bowling, Roll n Roaster, movies - "Center Stage" - can't believe it was so long ago!
May 19th - Bowling, TGI Fridays, Pool in Georgetown
May 21st - Breakfast at el Greco for Jenn's bday. And a movie - "Road Trip"

We are old

10 years ago we were just finishing sophomore year of high school. Listening to "Closing Time" by Semisonic in the car being shuttled back and forth between the bowling alley, my basement, prima pasta, dolly's, and jenn's apartment. I believe we used to quote "closing time...i know who i want to take me home" as a joke because we'd stay at my place so late and then somebody's parents (or car service!) would take everybody home .

alright, i can't think of anything more to say for now.

Memorial Day Weekend 2009

I went home for Memorial Day weekend this year just to spend a few days away from Ithaca. I left on Thursday afternoon around 11:30 and got back around 4:30 since there was some traffic. I had the Chinese lunch special when I got home but it wasn't really good for some reason. I then helped my parents with work stuff and then before you knew it, it was time for dinner (Gourmet grill of course). I had chicken parm with a side of baked ziti...and a Best health black cherry soda which we used to drink like 10 years ago in my basement.

FRIDAY
On Friday I worked from home in the morning and then left around 11:40 to go to the city to meet Joe for lunch. We went to Eatery in HK and I had a jerk chicken wrap and we shared a bottle of wine. As we were sitting there his boss called and said she would pay for our lunch since I helped Joe find some information that Cornell had available. So that was nice! Afterwards we went around shopping for a bit until I had to meet Jordan at his apartment for dinner. We hung out there and had some more wine then went to Ktown for Korean BBQ. It was very good as usual and we ordered massive amounts of food. Afterwards we went out to a bar type place but thery wouldn't let me in with shorts so we went to other places that we had been to before. It soon became 1am and I cabbed it up to Joey's apartment to sleep.

SATURDAY
Woke up early and walked around for a bit until our show Next to Normal on Broadway. It was a really amazing show and I recommend that you all see it. Anyway, after the show I went to B&N for a while and then to Best Cellar to pick up a bottle of wine for Jenn's house. We all met up at Silk Road where I had Chicken with long string beans in garlic sauce. Jenn had 8 delicious chicken which had 8 varied ingredients in it. Dinner was very good and it was nice to see everybody. We then all went back to Jenn and Sydney's apartment for more wine and cheese and some card games. Very fun and then I left around 1am , taking the bus to 57th and 7th and then the Q train home.

SUNDAY
Sunday we had a little BBQ at home which was fun. I helped prepare the food in the morning and then made some drinks with my sister before people arrived. The weather overall cooperated and it was very fun. After the BBQ was over I was quite tired so I just relaxed all day.

MONDAY
On Monday Jordan was in Brooklyn so we went to Roll n Roaster. I had roast beef with cheese, cheese fries, and a root beer. Delicious of course. After that we were going to take the train back into the city but we ended up driving and I found parking relatively easy. We walked around and up towards the park and eventually met up with Jenn for about an hour or so and then walked back to Columbus Circle where we went to Whole Foods. I then walked back to my car and drove home for a BBQ leftover dinner but we also purchased hangar steak which was pretty good.

TUESDAY
On Tuesday I didn't do much I think except some work and then before I knew it we had to leave to go to see 9 to 5 in the city. It was really funny and the cast was great. Although I never saw the original movie. Afterwards we grabbed a quick bite at Juniors and got some cheesecake which of course was delicious. We then drove back home.

WEDNESDAY
Wednesday I woke up early and left around 11am to go back to Ithaca. On the way back I stopped at Cracker Barrel and was pretty much the only one there, but that meant that the food came out super quick. I had Chicken and Dumplings with sides of Fried apples, mac and cheese, and the carrots. All delicous. That filled me up so I didn't even have dinner that night.

And now I am back in Ithaca and back to doing work at least for a month until I leave again.
